At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in such areas as: finance; business administration or management; human resources management; political, social or civil affairs; or other related fields. Experience working in multicultural institutions. Experience in programme and project planning and analyses. Management and technical leadership experience. Work experience in senior officer assignments in the United Nations. Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in one or more of the following disciplines: social sciences, finance, business administration or management or related fields. A relevant combination of academic qualifications and professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Fluency in spoken and written English or French; knowledge of a second UN language is an advantage and sometimes a requirement. Fluency in the local language may be essential.
